Three of my buddies from Final Fantasy XIV are doing Extra Life, taking brand-new characters from level 1 to level 50 in the space of a day -- or as far as they can make it, anyway. They'll be streaming the experience, too, so if you've been curious what FFXIV is all about -- on the road from 1-50, anyway -- then it's a good opportunity to take a peek into how it all goes down.
Extra Life supports the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, and it's a great cause. I would have been participating myself were I not heading to the opposite end of our little island on Sunday to go to a friend's wedding, so the least I can do is point you in the direction of these good people, ask you to dig deep and flip them a few dollars. Every little helps!
